HOW TO BE A CARTOONIST ARTICLES

I am writing a series of articles on different aspects of being a cartoonist. I plan to be brutally honest where necessary and also provide technical information for newbies. These are free for the reading and unlike the numerous "How To Be A Cartoonist" books I am not going to sell you on that career option in order to make a book sale.

Fact is, if I ever do compile a book on the subject I'm going to tell it all, the good and the bad. Cartooning is not an easy profession to make money and has many ups and downs. However, with the internet it is definitely true that you can make money as a cartoonist, just not your entire income in most cases.

All articles will open in a new window. Please leave your own comments and advice on each one.

SCANNING AND SAVING YOUR CARTOONS
