Chaz

You are so right Outland was/is a fabulous film. I got in to see it at the cinema (underage) so many years ago. Showing my age.

Dirt, grime, hookers and drugs. A far cry from Battlestar Galactica and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. I just loved the realism. I don't recall any weak links in the acting. Connery superb as usual, and believable as a noble but weary and reluctant 'hero'. I loved Berkoff too - Joker level scary.

I really must unearth a copy and watch it again, thanks

I liked it and thought it was funny too. I'd say if you had drawn the bullet holes into the foreheads then shown brains flying yeah it'd be too violent. But come on a red blood splatter that looks like ketchup is not violent.

Guys, I wish I had a million to spare (actually, several million, because you are probably at least 3rd on my list). The interviewer really seems to get you in this. Monsturd has not only the worlds's best vomit scene, it has some really good writing and the director's can really act, too.

I came across your story while researching info for pug brain tumors and pug seizures, and I was incredibly touched. I wanted you to know that hearing your story is very helpful and provides insight to me. I have two pugs, and my nine year old boy just started "snapping fly syndrome" (snapping at invisible flies) this week. At first i thought it was him being silly but something nagged at me to look up the symptome has and get him checked out. We're pretty sure he has epilepsy or a brain tumor. My problem, of course, is that he is part of me and i am not ready to let him go without a fight, but at the same time i don't want to make him suffer painfully for my benefit. Perhaps I am jumping the gun...I've done tons of research that tells me that there are a lot of homeopathic remedies..at this point I am jumping at anything. Again, hearing your story is very valuable. This is a journey that I am just not ready for and all advice helps.
One more note-our other pug Lulu has mast cell tumors that need to be removed around every 6 months. When she was first diagnosed we were going to a VCA hospital-they told me she would die if she didnt have major surgery, went on radiation..they bullied me in to having a completely unnecessary and very costly surgery - over $2k. The surgery left a huge scar on her leg: again, not necessary. I ended up finding my own vet after that, an expert in pug care, who charges me around $150.00 for the tumor removals twice a year. Even the new vet is appalled at the cost and the course of treatment that VCA scared me in to accepting. And, she's still alive 5 years after VCA said she would die. I will never forgive them. You did the right thing by going with your instincts on that one.
